Wi-Finally

by Joe Thorn on May 26, 2005

HotSpotWhen I am running around I tend to notice this sign. It means wireless access to the internet at high speeds. Having wrestled with a connection at home of 56k for the past 4 years, going to Starbucks or Panera (it’s free there) to get online was a very good option. But now God has smiled on the Thorn home and we have Wi-Fi. This means we can get online anywhere in our house at high speeds, even two computers at the same time, and it wont tie up our phone lines.

Nice, Joe. Now you can surf from the john just like Steve! I’ve certainly never done it (seems so uncouth), but I bet it’s amazing. How about it, Steve? Any comments?

On another note, what plugin do you use for comments in your sidebar? I have tried a few and not pleased with any yet.

I don’t care where Joe uses his wifi, so long as he uses it. Congrats Joe.

    Richard,

I had to serach to find one that didn;t have all that extra junk showing. I’ll send you a link and the plugin itself.

    Chris W, FYI…

    1 Corinthians 1:19

For it is written, “I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.”

Joe, what a vicious crowd you run in! Congrats anyway.

I am so sitting in your lawn hacking into your wi fi!

The Warfords (neighbors) have wi-fi too… I am hacking into their networks now.

Was it T-Mobile that actually provided the internet service? Because we haven’t been able to get anything higher than about 32 K for the past year…But I think if you can get Wi Fi than we should be able to. And that, would be awesome.

It’s with Verizon. They were the first to make it out here with DSL. Since our phone bill is with them it was very easy.

Hmm. I think we have Verizon, as well. I guess we’ll just have to look into that when we come back.
