Does anyone know what pop icon said this in an interview?
I love the idea of the Sacrificial Lamb. I love the idea that God says: Look, you cretins, there are certain results to the way we are, to selfishness, and there’s mortality as part of your very sinful nature, and let’s face it, you’re not living a very good life, are you? There are consequences to actions. The point of the death of Christ is that Christ took on the sins of the world, so that what we put out did not come back to us, and that our sinful nature does not reap the obvious death. That’s the point. It should keep us humbled… It’s not our own good works that get us through the gates of Heaven.
Google will tell you the answer quickly. But I think some of you will know or can figure it out.

Yeah, I was right. I figured it out because this person has been talked about a lot the last few days on some blogs.
Are we supposed to guess in the comment or just do like Steve and say we’re right ;^)
My guess would be Marilyn Manson. Now I’ll Google.
Geez, I thought it was a trick question! At least I was in the right profession.
Manson actually had some interesting quotes about Jesus a couple of years ago, but I’m not sure if he has said anything noteworthy recently.
I guessed it correcly only because I know Joey has been listening to the person’s current album.
I am surprised I was right. If he is being honest and sincere when he said that then it leads me to think that he is truly a believer.
Steve’s comment tipped me off. I enjoyed his (the person you quoted) short defense of Jesus as the Son of God as well.
You mean it wasn’t Tom Cruise?
GAH! TOM CRUISE. Evil.
I have no clue who said that…But I’m guessing the lead singer of FF?
gosh guys, everybody who is part of the emerging church is required to own his… work. right, steve? =)
Looks like a great read (that is where the quote originated).
Picked it up in a book shop last week, saw the price and put it down again. It was 50 bucks or something crazy!
