Recovering the Blog

by Joe Thorn on December 5, 2005

Ok, after “Chernoblog” I have been able to recover my posts, and the blog is almost up and running like it was. I will be tweaking it this week, and hope to have it finished before the weekend. Blogging will resume asap. Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

Welcome Back. So how’d you end up pulling it off so quickly?

So how’d you end up pulling it off so quickly? The rebuild of the blog, that is. Just curious.

Thanks guys. David, I am not sure how it worked. But I deleted it all from my server, and then reinstalled it days later. Nothing. The things was blank. Then I added the template Chad made for me and when I went to my control panel it was registering that I had a post in the draft folder. So I looked at my archived posts and they were all listed, though not displayed for readers. I opened one, saw that the words were still there, and reposted it, and everything showed back up.

So, that’s how it went down. Thanks for pulling my old posts together from the web. That was very cool.

    And now…dinner is calling.

Well, I’m glad it was so easy. Much better than really rebuilding.
