I think SAP is more like NPR in that they have a similar creative goals and readings as well as the discussion format. Both are excellent, and this one on Bono is really fantastic. However, I'm not sure that I would liken St. Annes Pub with NPR (which is also one of my guilty pleasures). I find Mars Hill Audio ( http://www.marshillaudio.org/ ) to be a closer comparison.
