What’s in my ears and in my head.

Are you wanting to get Revolution out of your head?

Well, I am only two chapters through it (only reading one chapter a week… for as long as I can take it). So far, it seems like he is taking his readers somewhere the true Revolutionary doesn’t want us to go.

    What, no Tom Waits?? Sheesh!
Get thee to the record store and pick up a copy of Rain Dogs!!

Check it out…both Barna and Derek Webb did the same thing of reversing their names and the titles on the packaging of their work. Would love to hear more thoughts on Revolution. Seems to be creating a stir.

Peter Meyer in your collection? I am impressed. He is pretty much of an unknown. LOL

How do you like him so far?

Chris, Tom Waits is not in my current playlist, but I do enjoy him – thanks to you. :)

Jeff, Yes, I really enjoy Peter Meyer. Thanks for the loan.

Sled Dog, Yeah, I noticed the designs are similar as well. The difference seems to be that Webb actually has something to say worth consideration. I will be commenting on Barna’s book later today (home sick today).

I noticed that puritan paperback on your shelf. Might it be the Reformed Pastor? Perhaps the Sinfulness of Sin?

On the subject of church government, you might check out an essay by Iain Murray on eldership. He concedes that the ruling-teaching eldership theory is without warrant. For the most part, this information has been ignored.

Iain, of course, is the main man behind the republishing of the Puritans.

Zane, Puritan literature has been the most consistent part of my reading diet for the past 8-10 years. The paperback you see in the pic is Sibbes, “The Bruised Reed.”

I have read Murray before and find him quite helpful in a number of ways. Thanks.
