iPod

by Joe Thorn on January 27, 2006

Because of a recent new car puchase my Dad received a free 30GB iPod. Though he is technologically savy, especially for a sexagenarian, he didn’t have use for it so he passed it on to me. I wouldn’t have spent the cash on it, but love having one.

Nice, though i think i would have held out for the car instead of the ipod!!!

Enjoy brother! You can get Piper and Sproul on podcasts and fill that sucker with great theology as well as great music.

Dad’s rock! My 3rd Generation iPod continues to perform admirably, though I look for a reason to get a newer one. Perhaps when I get the MacBook Pro as well. I did recently order one of Alpine’s new cd receivers that will control my iPod in the truck. Now, I have to exercise patience with Crutchfield to get the thing in and headed my way.

Enjoy, Joe. I know you will.

My Church got me one for Christmas. I’m loving it!

What I’ve done with it so far.

    1. Loaded all my music – that’s every CD in the house that I can find. Since I’m not a big audiophile that’s more than 500 songs but less than 1000.

    2. Downloaded sermons from the internet that I want to hear about
subjects that I’m interested in from Churches that I never get to visit.

    3. Downloaded Commander in Chief TV Series from ABC. My wife and I like to watch this program but don’t get good reception at our home of ABC channel. (You don’t have to watch the show on the little IPOD screen unless you want to. You can play it on your laptop or your desktop)

    4. Loaded the Church’s Easter Cantata and use the IPOD for practicing my part in the CANTATA.

    5. Use it in the Car through a cassette adapter.

    6. Store my Grandpaw bragging pictures on it.

    7. Store important address and phone number info on it for when I’m on the road. Works like a PDA sort of except you can’t edit things.

All in all it’s a pretty nice toy. Especially the video part.

    I’m totally impressed with mine.
