Paranoid and Unfaithful... I like that description Joe. I remember wanting to use the song "Shout to the North" in a worship service. It has the line 'Jesus is Savior to All' in it and I thpught 3 times about it, wondering if I'd be arrested by the theology police at my church. before realizing that its a direct quote from scripture. I read that portion scripture aloud and went for it... and heard not a peep.

Joe,
Good words! The bottom line is faithfulness to Scripture, which means fearlessly and willfully using the language of Scripture. Too many of us (Calvinist, Arminian, and everything in between) seek to inject our theology into Scripture, rather than allowing Scripture to fully and finally inform our theology. It is refreshing to hear a brother who shares my view of the "doctrines of grace" say what you do. It reminds me that I really can believe what I believe and say that God desires the salvation of the world. If fellow Reformed guys break out in hives over that, the problem is with them.

I read you often, although I don't post often. Keep up the sound teaching!

It's a quote from 1 Tim. 3:16, "Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness." I assume you're just joking around. Or do they not cover those Epistles at Southwestern? ;)
