Road Trip #2
Today at worship Rob sang A Mighty Fortress to a new melody he wrote a couple weeks ago. Very cool, and the congregation will sing it together next week. Unfortunately I will not be there for that.

I am taking the fam’ To PA for a small family reunion. So tonight I will be packing, bringing only the most necessary items for our cross country adventure: camera, computer, iPod, books, pipe. I think Jen’s packing some clothes or something. This is the second of at least four road trips I have to take this spring/summer, but it should be a good time for the family to relax and have fun. Who knows, the whole reunion may unfold like the next movie in the National Lampoon “Vacation” series.

You say “have to take” like road trips aren’t AWESOME. Three weeks after I move to New Orleans and I’ll be praying that God grant me a reason to road trip. I’m overdue as it is. I haven’t been more than five hours from Mobile since the end of February, and I’m already feeling claustrophobic.
“Lord, I was born a ramblin’ maaaaa-an…”
Man, you guys have a GREAT time, but watch out for blondes in Ferraris.
Marty, thanks for the reminder. I am a chick magnet.
Joe, We actually love our family road trips. We have been looking forward to this for months now!
Hey, I don’t remember you clearing this with me. Who’s preaching on Sunday?
OH man! I forgot about that! Can you do it?… Pat is preaching on 1 Thess 5. Sounds like good stuff. Car is packed, and we are just now leaving. Pray for us to have good and safe travel.
Pastor Joe,
I hope that you have a blessed road trip. I will be praying for you and your family. God Bless You.

“OH man! I forgot about that! Can you do it?… ”
Don’t tryto drop that one on me, you might send me into a seizure. (I can joke about that now.) Of course I’ll be praying for your safe travel. Have a great trip, my friend.
Thanks bro. Man, I have some songs for you. I will get them to you asap. I think you would like them, and they would work well for some of our worship.
Joe,
I wish I had know you were coming, I would have baked a cake! I’m about 45 minutes south of Philly and the map looks like you’re moving that way. I would have brought you some cake (or maybe cupcakes) to welcome you to the mid-atlatic!
