Stats and Thanks

by Joe Thorn on August 17, 2006

This blog averages 450 or more unique readers a day. Sometimes the number is in the upper 500′s; on Sundays it drops to the low 300′s. Today I had over 1000 unique readers without putting up a new post. Why? Kevin Cawley’s “My Del.icio.us World” post referenced my Top Ten Tuesday list, which was linked on Justin Taylor’s blog today. The vast majority of today’s extra visitors came from Justin’s place. I thought I would take the time to say, “Thanks.” I appreciate the links and of course the people who take the time to check out my blog regularly. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Joe … hits to our blog like church members (visitors too) in the pew make us feel good … not so much about ourselves (well maybe), but more about providing something that will help them. Good blog and numbers! Here I thought my blog was being hit upon with 173 one day! Yahoo! Far cry from 500-1000+ hits. Good work and keep up the good blogging!

Yeah. I never quite understood why so many will stop by and read but say nothing unless I bring up beer.
