Nota Bene

by Joe Thorn on January 27, 2007

The Journey in St. Louis is catching heat because they follow the example of Jesus over the example of John the Baptist.

Timmy Brister has interviewed Dr. Dockery from Union University.

One of my photographs wound up on Gaper’s Block.

You have WAY too much free time on your hands. The video is cool though.

I don’t get it. Maybe it’s one of those scholar things ;-)

How do you find this stuff? Cool video – I’ve only been out of the US once and that was to Vancouver!

Pathetic!

Loved the video.

Are you saying the “beer and Bible study” is a good idea?

The title of the news article is unfortunate. It does not reflect the real practice of The Journey. They happen to have an outreach/dialogical ministry at a local public house where some people drink beer. It should be a non-issue. My comments merely reflect the practice of two men: John the Baptist who abstained from alcohol, and Jesus who drank in moderation. Keith, I check out your recent post related to this story. I want to encourage you to be careful not to make assumptions about a church.
