Your Church Promo

by Joe Thorn on May 31, 2007

Church logos, business cards, websites, advertisements. I would be interested in knowing what companies, services, etc. your churches use for promotion. From branding to website development and everything in between. Who do you use? I have looked into some very capable companies, but for the kind of website I like we’re talking a couple thousand dollars. We do not have the funds for something like that. Branding for us is not a problem – we have a couple of very talented graphic artists putting that together for us. But I would love to hear what you guys are doing and who you have used.

Details Communication. They did an awesome job for us with branding…and their web site may give your creative guys some good ideas.

Hi Joe, our church has our website designed by http://www.myministrydesign.com …. he is pretty good with the eye (and is one of our church leaders). Our church website is at http://www.newharvestch.org. Tell him Randy sent ya, and he might give a deal! :)

Our church use SpeakCreative out of Memphis, I believe. Their web stuff is called SiteWrench, they design custom sites and quite a few templates that have multiple users (churches) but are limited in regions. They track their templates by areas of the country, so no one in your area would be duplicating your site look. We began with a template and then went to a custom after a year or so.

Hi Joe, our church used http://www.cosmicorigins.com – Daniel has been attending our church and gave us a great site that’s easy to maintain.

We used Details Communication for our Web Site in the college ministry I lead powered by E-Zekiel. We’ve been really pleased, but it cost us some coin.

As we set out to launch LifeConnection we’re working with Cory Miller of Church Communications Pro and about a zillion other sites (http://corymiller.com/). He develops word press themes that can be utilized by smaller churches/ministries that are quite affordable.

Haven’t started interacting with the finished product yet, he’s still developing it, but I think it is going to be a great option for us.

    Hi Joe.
I’m from a small church plant in Australia. For the last couple of months, I have set up a WordPress.com site here:

    http://www.citywestchurch.com

We are outgrowing our current site and instead of looking at a bunch of expensive web designs, we have opted to use Joomla for our new site.

Joomla is an open source CMS offering amzing flexibilty and power – all for free. Our Church blog will still be run in wordpress but the rest will be on Joomla.

There are heaps of Templates for Joomla. As usual, the better ones you need to pay for – BUT these are at a fraction of the cost you will pay elsewhere.

We joined a template club called JoomlArt and can be found here:
