I like your call to not make it rigid. We have tried to make our time together more conversational with our 5 kids. I can tell when I'm in lecture mode; the eyes rolled back in their heads give it away. I just started reading <i>The Forgotten Ways</i> by Alan Hirsch, and he introduced a term in the context of discipleship that really resonated with me: <b>outsourcing</b>. When I rely solely on the admittedly good children's ministries for my children to be discipled, then I am literally outsourcing that to someone else. Ouch.
