Run Report
Posted by Joe Thorn - 17/03/08
Behold, the old have gone and the new have come! Last summer I picked up my first pair of running shoes, and logged over 350 miles on them. They were at the end of their life-cycle so I stopped by our local running store to pick up a new (and better) pair.

Wha? I thought it said “Rum Report”. What a rip off. I’m outta here.

I rejoice with those who rejoice.
Was there anything better growing up than getting a brand new pair of sneakers?!
Just make sure some goon doesn’t come and step on them!
Grrr.
350 miles, eh? That’s great for a tank of gas, let alone a pair of shoes.
Very green of you.

Yeah, I was pretty loose with my use of “Run Report.” This was more of a shoe show. Today’s run, and most of my runs are boring to read about. A quick 2.2 miles today. But I have a post coming up that relates to running clubs and church planting.

My current pair are Asics. I have go back and forth between Nike and Asics. I got a pair of Brooks a year ago, and ended up being sore after every run. Joe, you need to enter the Million Mile Ultra Race….a great fund way to keep up with your totals.

The 2130s have more gel in the heel - a noticeable difference - and seems to fit and feel better over all. The Asics I started with were bottom shelf Asics. Good to start with though. I need a bit of Stabilization, but not motion control. Both pair are dead on for what I need. This is just a better shoe.
