I look at the encounter the rich young ruler had with Jesus in Matthew 19 and Mark 10. Jesus says, "you know the commandments," then lists them. Obviously Jesus is shining this young ruler on, for moments later the Christ continues to tell him what else he'l need to do to inherit eternal life. I may be over-dramatizing this interaction in my mind, but I always see Jesus with a slight smile on his face during this discussion.
