Friday Photos (and stuff)
Posted by Joe Thorn - 30/05/08I keep passing this old car on my way to the church offices and finally stopped to take a few photos. Love it.
Yesterday, May 29th, marked one year of running for me. Honestly, when I started running my wife didn’t think I’d stick with it. She never voiced any doubt, and always encouraged and cheered me on, but she had good reason to doubt my perseverance. I’ve tried gym memberships, healthy eating, those ridiculous Billy Blanks video workouts, and more without continuing any of it long term. But I have fallen in love with running and it is a real part of my life. Read my one year update at my running blog.
My son and I watched this short marvel superhero crossover this morning. How can you not like Spiderman, Ironman and Hulk fighting giant robots? Lots of fun!

Joe,
I was wondering what software you use in editing your photos. Also how do you darken the corners in said software to give the phote the shadow effects in the edges. Just wondering. Keep up the great work you do on this blog

Curtis, I use Apple’s Aperture. Fantastic software, easy to use, good price. The darkened edges is an artificial “vignette.” I get that in camera with my lens sometimes, but here I added it in to frame the subject and make the colors pop.

1. Great shots
2. Brother, I was greatly encouraged by your “running” blog today. My wife and I have been exercising for the past 3 weeks….myself needing to lose weight. I found your perseverance exciting and encouraging. Keep it up brother!
