Old Neighborhood
Posted by Joe Thorn - 01/09/08This photo was taken on Chicago Ave early this morning with my Blackberry Pearl. I took the fam’ into Chicago for a couple days (friends were able to get us a sweet (suite actually) hotel room to stay overnight. So we hit the beach, walked through the Loop, ate at PF Chang’s, and spent the remainder of our evening in the hotel pool. Great day. This morning I left the hotel room around 5:30am to go for a walk. Jen and I went to Moody so this is our old neighborhood - where we met, went on our first date, fell in love. It’s always fun to come in for a visit, but going back home is the best.

Really like this photo, Joe. Check-cashing joints have always struck me as sad places. This shot captures something of that feeling for me.
