Yes, it was predictable but also thought provoking.

Some of our best( that should be worst) arguments have occurred walking to church! :-(

However, there are also times I deliberately make Sunday mornings a good time. I tell the kids I am excited about going to church and we get excited together.
I act the same way I do as when my favourite team score a goal...so they do get the message!

Short and predictable as it may have been, it was still a convicting message. Putting on a show in a place where authenticity is what people come looking for...

I think the video is great. It's a short, and can only say so much. I don't even think it tells half the story - and that's okay. It simply points to a problem in a way I think most people can get. Like a good Eastwood-directed film, no redemption is found in the film, but the need for it is painfully obvious.

Thanks for the feedback guys - even the "meh's" are okay here. It's good to know how others feel about it.

Get the point, but think it only tells 1/2 the story. Let the Church share in the blame for the ways in which it has made this all-too-real scenario possible to play out. Create an environment where people are inclined (maybe even expected) to put on a happy face and that's what you're gonna get. I know the video was apparently related to James 3 and taming the tongue, but it seems to be more in keeping with James 1 or 4 and the idea of duplicity - a sin that we need to repent of not only on the individual level, but on the corporate level as well.
