Joe-
That's what I thought. I just wanted you to clarify it a bit for me. The more I thought about it, a loss of a pet is an issue of practical, real life theology. I remember losing my pets as a child, but just being told they went to heaven. Obviously, that's not really talking theology. Thanks for the answer.

Todd, Manu was a mini-Dauchsund. Manu is the German nickname for Manuel. But our Manuel was a girl. Long story. :)

Trey, by "talking theology" I mean we are helping our kids to understand why death is here, why it hurts and the frailty of life. As well as the goodness and sovereignty of God and what our hope is for deliverance from sin and death through Jesus. You know, "talking theology."

Joe,
We hated losing our Cocker Spaniel about ten years ago. We will likely fall apart when we lose, Spurgeon, our Terrier/Daschsund mix.

What breed was Manu? What does the name mean?

Joe-

Sorry to hear about your dog. When you say "talking theology", I am wondering what it is your are saying about the loss of your dog?

Thanks,
Trey
