For The Weekend

If you are looking for something new, or something to do, here are three things to consider for the weekend.

1. Explosions in the Sky, The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place This is a great instrumental CD that is worth having in your collection. Check out the reviews, and sample the tracks at Amazon. Awesome stuff. [link]

2. Memorize Scripture. Maybe you already do this, but it seems that most Christians are not intentional about it. Work on a few verses Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Ask a friend to do it with you. How about Psalm 119:9-11 (or verses 9 -16)?

3. Read a Confession/Catechism. Our historic Christians confessions, the best and most beautiful come from the Reformed tradition, are a wonderful source of theological meditation. Try something different. The Heidelberg Catechism The Second London Confession The Scots Confession Luther's 95 Theses (not a confession, but worth a read)

Have a great weekend, and I'll see some of you at worship on Sunday!
