I just came across a BP article on Lifeway's new podcasting service, This could be very cool. Free sermons/teaching in podcast form from a variety of perspectives all found in one place? I am all for this. They even have the podcasts broken down into categories. And, I am not kidding, there is a yet to be filled "Theology" section complete with anthropology, hamartiology, soteriology, etc. I have actually spoke with some very good people from Lifeway about the production/promotion of good theological resources, and appreciate that room has been made for that here. But the sheer number of categories might make the whole process of walking through available podcasts a bit more laborious. Maybe not; I am still playing with it. And so far, I have found the website a bit akward. For example, register and check out a section of podcasts. The scrolling titles are a nightmare to read, and I still can't tell who's preaching, or where, when reading some of the titles. The service is brand new, so there isn't a lot to be offered, but this can quickly change. I am hopeful that they will offer more than Southern Baptist resources. This is a good thing, and I hope it takes off. As soon as we get our sermons compressed, Grace will submit podcasts to Christian Podder.
