While not attending the SBC I was able to run errands and get lunch
uninterrupted while chatting with Steve on the phone. I think he's at Starbucks "being missional." As you can see (left), our children are watching inappropriate things these days. It's not just Narnia and Lord of the Rings - It's also Scooby Doo's "Spookiest Tales." I hope Lifeway never sells such satanic entertainment. Motion anyone?
Oh - a little controversy while not at the SBC today. There was a lot of internal debate about whether I would get lunch at Panera, or China 1. Eventually I was able to convince myself that Panera would be a better (healthier) choice: Sierra Turkey sandwich on an everything bagel!
I also had to run to our local bank. I like using that air-sucky-plastic-tube-thingy in the drive through. I think that's what it's called. I'm not sure. I'll admit, I get many more free pens at the SBC than I did at the bank today. Anyone want to get me some and send 'em my way?
In related news: Steve reports that Joe Thorn is more important than country music. I think I agree with that! Be sure to check out his live-blogging far, far away from the SBC (Parts 1, 2 and now 3).
