From time to time people ask me if I listen to music while I study, and if so what do I typically play? I actually do listen to music while I study, and not just because I'm doing so at the coffee shop. I find certain kinds of music help me creatively, so I tend to stay with certain forms. I'm not a music aficionado (nerd), but I do love music, and have a few playlists that get a lot of play when I'm working. Over the next three days I'll share the three playlists that most often compliment my writing and study. Today, it's film scores. The following albums are not all of the film scores I enjoy, but the ones that have been getting the most play recently.
Original Music for Motion Pictures
Inception, Hans Zimmer
Moon, Clint Mansell (iTunes only)
Sunshine, John Murphy and Underworld (iTunes only)
Ink, Jamin Winans
The Social Network, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross
There Will Be Blood, Johnny Greenwood
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis
The Prestige, David Julyan
The Wolfman, Danny Elfman
The Dark Knight, Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard
This playlist contains 7.4 hours of music.
On this post let's try and stick to original music from films. What are some of your favorites?
