I am excited to join some brothers and sisters at "Folklore" this Sunday evening in Chicago. They have asked me to come and lecture on the doctrine of election. Here's a description of what Folklore is.
Folklore is a gathering of people from various churches and contexts in the city of Chicago. The purpose is to see people grow in their understanding and love of Jesus, grow in community, enjoy good food and drink and to build one another up in the Christian faith. Each month they meet together and discuss a particular theological topic. And every fourth month they invite in the neighborhood and throw a party in order to connect with folks in the neighborhood. Joe Thorn is our guest lecturer this month and he will be discussing the topic of Election on Sunday October 13th at 7pm at 1521 N. Washtenaw, Chicago, IL. You are invited to join the discussion. Please bring some food and drink to share or consider bringing a few dollars to add to the community pot.
Friends, food, doctrine. I'm in.
