Date with Dad

Elias and I hit Starbucks for a little father/son time. Today he was recounting the funny traps “Kevin” set for the thieves in Home Alone and is eager to watch it again this Christmas season. I love going out for “dates with dad” with the kids. I shoot for once a week, but we sometimes miss. These dates do happen at least twice a month. We’ll go for a walk, hit the park, grab lunch, or stop in Starbucks. We also schedule “very special” dates for special occasions. Those are a bigger deal.

I’d love to hear about the how you do your “dates with dad.” I know Ed Stetzer is a pro in this area, so - how about you? What do you do?

This was from last Sunday. After church the fam spent the day together, lunch, walking through town, Starbucks (here) the park, Home Group and finally home. A great day and the kids had a blast. So here’s our son, Elias, downing his hot chocolate, and Katherine holding Madeline at my “second office.”
